Post image for That’s A Bit Of Lean Angle

The 2011 Yamaha R6 has an advertised lean angle of 57 degrees, one more than the very capable 2011 Yamaha R1. Anyone want go guess what the 2011 Yamaha M1 is capable of? I’d say Lorenzo has to be well into the 60 degree range.

Post image for Yamaha Unveils New MotoGP Livery (with video)

It’s common knowledge both Ben Spies (my favorite) and Jorge Lorenzo have a great shot at the world title again. Not that the competition won’t be fierce. Casey is looking wicked fast on the Honda and Simoncelli has set down fastest lap times. It will be closely contested.

So far Yamaha hasn’t announced a sponsor. This is unusual due to Yamaha’s good chances at the world championship and last years success. We’ll see if this changes Yamaha’s development budget.

Usually a bike will be named after it’s sponsor. For example: Pramac Ducati or Sterilgarda Yamaha. Basically advertising for the sponsor.

Yamaha loves doing this for some reason. It’s interesting to see the logic behind the decisions of these MotoGP Greats.
